I know it feels like we are always asking for money….. we did ask for money back in November and you all were amazing in stepping up as we raised over $10,000. Thanks to supporters of Chowan Softball, like yourself, we were able to take the team to Myrtle Beach where we played 6 games in three days winning 4, had some great bonding memories, bought more uniform pieces, provided some nice gear and cleats for our players, made some improvements to our practice equipment, traveled in quality buses, stayed in decent hotels, and ate at restaurants other than fast food! I mention the travel, as that eats up the majority of our budget. We have to travel and we want to be safe in travel. Our trip to Myrtle beach itself was well over $10,000.00. For our regular season conference trips, hotel, bus, and food are approximately $7,000 to $9,000 per trip. These are things that make the collegiate playing experience so much more than just playing softball! A big thank you to our supporters in our fall campaign. We want to continue to strive to make these opportunities available to our players and continue to improve the product on the field and we are asking for your support, yes financially and if you can’t financially, then maybe you can pass this link along to friends of yours or businesses that are looking for a program to support! I can only reach so many people myself, but if we all were to reach out to 2, 5, 10 different people, think of what that would multiply to!
