The Men’s Lacrosse team at Chowan, more commonly known as the Boro Boys, is proud to have your support! Our program has grown significantly in our short seven years both in size and expectations. 2022 Was a big year for us! We made the Conference Carolinas tournament and are honored to house two All-Americans in Jackson Downs and Jaxon Martin. Most importantly, we continue to graduate young men each year fully prepared to attack the challenges of life and lead in their communities.
As the expectations within our program grow, so does the desire to provide them with a genuine and quality student-athlete experience. With your help, we can equip and provide these men with the necessary tools to compete at one of the highest levels of our sport. Every dollar raised is cherished as we maneuver increased travel and equipment costs. For reference, it costs roughly $600 to outfit each player with the necessary equipment to play the game safely. Your support allows us to do that and also accommodate them for away contests that would meet your expectation as a supporter of our program.
We are proud to say we earn what is given. Not only do these young men work hard in the classroom, on the field, and in the weight room, but they also work hard fundraising. We work events at PNC Arena in Raleigh to ensure we meet those demands. What we ask of you is to show support and appreciation for their hard work by gifting us a donation to aid in our efforts.
Our goal for the upcoming year is to increase the profile of our program by competing against the best in Division II, including traveling to Florida. We ensure you the Boys will work hard for this so please invest in their work and commitment! Every dollar is appreciated and is used for the student-athletes.
